Long Haul Trucker Jobs At Risk With Recent Accident

long haul trucker jobs
There was a commercial truck collision on the U.S. 52 last week. Three vehicles were involved, blocking traffic in both directions. There were two 18-wheel trucks carrying over-sized loads and one 10-wheel truck carrying coal. The accident happened just after dark. Thankfully there were no injuries or fatalities. Apparently what happened was a long piece of steel that was attached to one of the 18-wheelers fell and struck the coal truck, ripping it open. It missed the driver's head by only 6 inches. After the pole struck that truck, it hit the grill of the other 18-wheeler. This strike was apparently so forceful that it cracked through the engine and propelled back out of the truck. Traffic was held up for three miles on each side of the U.S. 52. This accident certainly increases the risk of driving long haul trucker jobs at night.
